Quick Update
April 17, 2008
I just wanted to let you guys know that I imported all of my old blog posts. I mean we’re talking like back to 2002. So If you wanna read about my crazy college life, check back to those. It’s amazing how much I’ve changed. I didn’t realize it until I went back and read everything. It’s interesting, you’d be suprised. So go. Read it. Now.
I haven’t imported some stuff from other blogs, because I’m not sure who is stalking me, and I may say some bad stuff about them on those. I may say, “eh, fuck it” later, but for now, I’m in a nice mood.
Also, I don’t care where you’re from, ranch makes everything better.
Also x 2, my new Bento box came in the mail today. So. Ex. Cited. Picture is up on Flickr. All the way from Japan baby!
Excited about Bento
March 28, 2008
I was playing around on the internet and visited a site I had written off a while back (because so much WANT so little NEED - you know how that goes). Anywho, www.jlist.com has all things Japanese you could possibly want. They have these cute little lunch boxes called Bento boxes. Bento or Obento is a small packed lunch. Anyway, I started researching just what went into Bento boxes and what they were all about. I found this American girl’s blog about how she has been using Bento lunches to help her lose weight. Lose weight? Hey that’s me! So I dug further and found this blog, JustBento.com which has a lot of verbiage and lots of information about Bento lunches and how to properly add them to your daily routine, from square one. Amazing. EDIT: I almost forgot to mention a blogsite with jazillions of recipes and ideas for Bentos: Cooking Cute!
My friend Taryn gave me a Hello Kitty mini Bento box for Christmas. Except…. it’s so super tiny, I can barely fit a sandwich inside. So today, I bought my first semi-traditional Bento box. Beautiful. I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am to start this diet. I’ll keep you updated on how it goes.
